Hospitality Training Preparation and Training Program

The hospitality industry, particularly hotels, has a growing need for qualified entry-level workers who possess essential skills but may lack overall knowledge of the hospitality sector. The American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute (AHLEI) addresses this need through its comprehensive START (Skills, Tasks, and
Results Training) program. 

START provides participants with flexible training that delivers general hospitality knowledge, detailed instruction on how to perform critical tasks, and the development of soft skills essential for success in front-line hotel and lodging positions. 

Upon completion of the training, participants are required to pass a certification exam with a minimum score of 70%. Earning this certification gives participants a competitive advantage when seeking employment in the hospitality industry.

Timeframe for Completion:

Total 180 hours – Online & In-person (Hands-On)

Through the START program, participants gain both the practical skills and foundational knowledge needed to
